If large attacks for ransomware weren’t enough to push people for data redundancy, another situation has affected a city call center.

Hot on the heels of the ransomware attack on the city of Atlanta, another major U.S. city had services disrupted due to encrypting malware. This time, 911 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems went down over the weekend, forcing 911 operators to relay information manually for the 17 hours that the system was down.
